Trio has developed a complete industrial motion control and robotics solution with kinematic and dynamics algorithms, path and trajectory planning, and other advanced mathematical solutions. We design and test both our own motion control and robotics programming language, and industry standard languages, and develop new commands and structures.

During a summer placement at Trio you will gain valuable industrial experience, whilst providing us with assistance towards developing and testing our next generation of motion control and robotic solutions, and supporting our customers with their applications. You will be working with different types of industrial robots, such as SCARA, Delta and 6DOF, through different applications and test programs. You will also work with our off-line programming system, enabling you to program full production lines in a virtual environment.

It is envisaged you shall spend time in our robotic, software, and hardware development teams, and applications support team. The exact duration of each will depend upon your interests, skills, and the projects with which you shall be engaged in each department.

Applicants must be working towards a degree, masters or doctorate in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Embedded Software, Mathematics or a strongly related discipline, be able to demonstrate an interest in advanced automation, and an ability with algorithm design, and high level programming and/or electronics and FPGA design.

The Role :

• Gain a thorough understanding of the Trio robotic and motion control automation solution
• Assist development of Trio robotic and motion control system, including the embedded software and/or electronics and FPGA design

Summary

As a member of the field based applications team, you will be a multi-disciplined engineer familiar with all aspects of Mechatronic Engineering and Industrial Automation. Working with customers both on and off-site and in conjunction with our technical support and development teams.

You will be able to apply products that are centered around our programmable motion controllers / PLCs which are used in a broad range of industrial machines to provide motion and automation functionality. In addition you will be helping to give customers advice on our range of brushless servo drives and motors, HMIs and PC based software that enables Trio to provide complete system solutions.
